Last week, people from across the country—and across time zones—gathered online for something deeply meaningful.
Finding Our Fathers: A DNA Journey to Identity and Healing was a special Zoom event focused on the intersection of father-loss, DNA discovery, and the lifelong search for belonging. Co-hosted by The Man In Me and DiscoverFamily.net, this virtual conversation created space for honest reflection, powerful storytelling, and the reminder that identity matters at every stage of life.

The event featured DiscoverFamily.net founder Troy Olson and Jason Timmons of The Man In Me, both of whom brought not only professional insight, but personal experience to the table. Together, they explored how the absence of a biological father can shape a man’s sense of self—and how DNA testing and family discovery can open doors to healing.
Throughout the event, attendees heard real stories of search and discovery: men who spent decades without answers, only to find clarity through ancestry research and the support of others who had walked similar paths. For some, the outcome was reunion. For others, it was finally understanding the truth. In every case, it was a step toward wholeness.
At DiscoverFamily.net, we see this every day.
Our team of volunteer Search Angels helps individuals uncover the truth about their biological roots—often when all they have are fragments of a story. Using DNA results, public records, and years of investigative experience, we help people find the missing pieces of their family puzzle with care, respect, and confidentiality.
Finding Our Fathers was a powerful reminder that no one should have to walk this road alone. Whether you’re looking for your biological father, supporting a loved one, or simply curious about your origins, there’s a place for you here.
If you’re ready to take the first step—or even just ask a few questions—please reach out. Our team is honored to walk with you.
